Pheasants eggs

A few days ago we noticed this clutch of pheasants eggs. The mother never seems to be there so I suppose they are all cold. Every few days another egg appears, I wonder when it will end?

My new Hammock…continued

I have just spent my first night in my new DD Hammock, it was amazingly comfortable, took a bit of time to get used to the lack of space. However I was toasty warm, I could lay on my back, side or front. Being new the hammock was still stretching into shape and by morning had sagged a little.
A hammock has other advantages, you are off the floor so you don’t get damp/cold from below, the ground does not need to be flat or level. The big disadvantage is that you need two trees!
I was talking to someone and they suggested adding a carabiner to make it easier to tension once I have worked out a good system I will post about it, there are a few ideas on the web already.

The hammock is far superior over sleeping on the floor, this wins hands down, a big thumbs up from me.
